Calling All Alumni…

Were you a camper, counselor, or staff member at Happy Hollow? We want you at our 75th Anniversary Celebration.

We’re inviting alumni to join us as volunteers and storytellers for the day. Help lead a simple camp activity like bracelet making, share favorite traditions, and bring camp to life for the next generation.

We’d also love for you to bring photos, small keepsakes, or memories from your time at camp to include in a Happy Hollow time capsule—a collection of stories and moments that capture what camp has meant across generations.

If camp made an impact on you, this is your chance to pass it on, spark a little nostalgia, and be part of the story.

Come back to camp. Help tell the story. Celebrate 75 years of Happy Hollow.

75 Til 75

As part of our spring campaign, 75 til 75 is focused on expanding access to camp for more young people. A gift of $75 each week leading up to our 75th anniversary birthday celebration on July 25 comes together to help cover the cost of camp—making it possible for children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience Happy Hollow.

It’s a meaningful way to take part in the impact of camp this year.

The first 75 years of Happy Hollow were built through consistency, care, and a shared belief that camp should be accessible to every child.

That same spirit is guiding Happy Hollow into its next chapter. After years of planning, feasibility studies, and collaboration, the camp was selected to receive a $3,297,650 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. through its Capital Project Initiative for Residential Youth Camps. This highly competitive grant supports major improvements that will expand and enhance how camp is experienced, including new and upgraded program spaces, improved accessibility and safety, expanded year round use, and strengthened housing and shared spaces for the staff who make camp possible.

The Lilly Endowment grant provides critical momentum, but it does not stand alone. With a full match from the community, this $3,297,650 grant becomes a $6.5 million investment in the future of Happy Hollow, bringing this vision fully to life.

As we mark 75 years of impact, community support remains essential to moving this work forward. For those who want to help shape the future of camp and expand access for more young people, we invite you to connect directly to learn more and get involved.

A $6.5 Million Investment in Happy Hollow’s Future

This investment is transformational for Happy Hollow.said Sara Noyed, Executive Director. “We are deeply grateful to Lilly Endowment for their belief in our mission and their commitment to youth development across Indiana. This support allows us to build a stronger future, one where every young person has the opportunity to explore, connect, and discover their potential in a place designed to help them thrive.
— Sara Noyed, Executive Director
