Hear Indiana Camp

Join Our Friends with Hear Indiana

Hear Indiana’s Listening and Spoken Language Camp, hosted at Happy Hollow Children’s Camp, offers a transformational summer experience for youth ages 7–18 who are deaf or hard of hearing and use listening and spoken language.

Held June 14–19, 2026, this residential program provides a place where campers can build confidence, independence, and a deep sense of belonging among peers who share similar experiences. Research shows that participants leave camp feeling more socially accepted—and those benefits last long after camp ends. Throughout the week, campers take part in classic outdoor adventures such as archery, arts and crafts, canoeing, swimming, horseback riding, and high and low ropes challenges, all while developing embedded self‑advocacy and leadership skills. Deaf and hard‑of‑hearing mentors are integrated into programming to ensure every camper sees positive role models in action.

Hosted on Happy Hollow’s 850 wooded acres in Brown County, the camp blends meaningful connection with the joy of outdoor exploration.

Registration opens in February 2026, and families can reach Hear Indiana with questions at hearcamp@hearindiana.org or 317‑995‑3319.
