Happy Hollow Children's Camp was awarded a $3.3 million matching grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. through its Capital Project Initiative for Residential Youth Camps. By matching this extraordinary investment, our community has the opportunity to create more than $6.6 million in lasting impact through improvements that will enhance safety, strengthen programs, and ensure future generations of campers continue to experience the magic of Happy Hollow.

More Than Buildings

At Happy Hollow, the places where camp happens matter. A cabin becomes a place where friendships begin. The lake becomes a place where confidence grows. Shared spaces become places where young people discover who they are and where they belong.

Building for Belonging will strengthen the spaces that make these experiences possible, creating a safer, more welcoming environment for every camper, counselor, and staff member who calls Happy Hollow home.

Bringing the Vision to Life

The projects included in Building for Belonging reflect a shared vision for the future of Happy Hollow. Guided by feedback from campers, families, alumni, staff, and community leaders, these improvements will strengthen safety, enhance the camp experience, and support the people who make camp possible. Together, they ensure Happy Hollow remains a place where young people can explore, connect, and discover their potential for generations to come.
